Changing the way insurance is purchased
The retail insurance market is changing rapidly; increasingly competitive, more pressure on price, less profit, skyrocketing cost of customer acquisition. That’s just today, what will the market look like when personal lines premiums drop because cars can avoid collisions and homes can stop water and fire damage before it happens.
At BROKERLIFT we believe that competing for tomorrow’s customer will require an advanced digital presence, one that revolves around the ability to sell insurance products online.
We’ve created a platform that can quickly enable your Brokerage to merchandise and sell a variety of insurance products to any customer at any time through your existing website.
Please reach out; we’d be happy to set up a demonstration!
Co-Founder + Strategic Growth
Thomas co-founded BrokerLift in 2015 after spending 4 years consulting to Insurance Companies and Brokers. Competition is fierce, technology adoption slow and customer demands rapidly changing. Seemed like a natural space to focus over 18 years of strategy and marketing experience.
Recently, Thomas worked closely with the Gore Mutual executive team, assisting in the development of a new distribution strategy, an eCommerce play and a brand evolution. He’s also worked with executives of Aviva Canada and the principals of a number of Brokers across Canada.
Prior to BrokerLift, Thomas has held a variety of executive leadership roles at companies such as Digital Cement (a Pitney Bowes company), Capital C, SapientNitro and IBM Global Services. He has consulted on business strategy and marketing across numerous industries. Thomas attended Dalhousie University for both his Undergraduate (Economics & History) and Graduate studies (Business).
Co-founder + Innovation Lead
Behzad is an innovator first and foremost. He co-founded BrokerLift to challenge the insurance industry to think and act differently. Technology should be seen as an enabler, not a barrier – what it often is in insurance.
Behzad’s recent innovations in the insurance market include the creation of uBiz, an end-to-end eCommerce initiative for Gore Mutual focused on bringing small business commercial online through Broker websites. The marketing strategy and technology development for Insurance Hunter, a digital insurance broker. And countless marketing programs for Brokers big and small.
Over the past 12 years, Behzad has held a variety of senior roles at Gore Mutual, Aviva Insurance, CIBC, Wunderman, and MorneauSheppell. He has lead projects in strategy, business intelligence and data science, technology and product development across numerous industries including, insurance, retail financial services, automotive, big oil, human resources, and online retail.
